The Cornerstone Project:
Providing a New Foundation for U.S. - EU Relations

CTR's Cornerstone Project examines how the U.S. and the EU can work more effectively together to deal with four cornerstone issue:
- the role and relevance of international law;
- more effective cooperation with regard to crisis management and conflict prevention;
- taking advantage of greater opportunities in the transatlantic marketplace;
- forging new patterns of cooperation in the related areas of energy security and green technologies.
Each of these issues is being addressed by European and American opinion leaders, experts and practitioners. Working papers and final publications are published as they become available.
U.S.-EU energy security
- Transatlantic Energy Futures. How can Europe and the U.S. grapple with future energy questions? In this volume European and American authors explore the interrelated issues of energy security, climate change and new technologies.
- "After Fukushima: The Future of Nuclear Energy in the United States and Europe" CTR-Atlantic Council all day conference audio/video.
