remkorteweg@hcss.nl Rem Korteweg is a former Visiting Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations. He is currently working on his PhD in Political Science at Leiden University and is connected to the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies in The Hague. His PhD research is on the role of Western strategic identities and its impact on the process of security and defense reform. During his stay at the Center he is working on US aspects of defense transformation in relation to US security policy. Rem is also engaged in various research projects including state failure and terrorist sanctuaries. He holds an MA in History from Utrecht University specializing in the History of International Relations, and a BA in Social Sciences from University College Utrecht. |
