Barbara Kunz is a former Visiting Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations and a PhD-candidate at the Baltic and East European Graduate School / Södertörns högskola and Stockholm University, Sweden. The working title of her dissertation is “A Neoclassical Realist theory of intra-state influence: U.S. policies towards Poland, Ukraine and Belarus after the end of the Cold War”. Her research interests include International Relations, Classical and Neoclassical Realism, transatlantic relations, international and European security.

Barbara Kunz holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. She has also studied at the Universities of Munich (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden) and Warsaw (Poland).

She is a native speaker of German and French and fluent in English and Swedish, with basic knowledge of Italian and Polish.
