dsliu@cass.org.cn Dr. Liu Deshou is an Associate Professor at the Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing, and a former Visiting Fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at SAIS for 2007. Her research concentrates on Sino-American- European bilateral and multilateral relations, and has covered such research topics as the U.S. role in East Asia, American unilateralism after September 11, 2001, the future of NATO, the correlations between US-European relations and the lifting of arms embargo on China. She has a Ph.D., history of international relations, Nanjing University, M.A., Academy of Social Sciences of Heilongjiang Province.
