Transatlantic Strategy Group

On September 14 2007, CTR, together with CSIS and the Hague Center for Strategic Studies hosted the first meeting of the Transatlantic Strategy Group. This initiative brings together a group of leading American and European security experts to discuss NATO's future roles and missions and provide new momentum to a transatlantic strategic debate that has been left waning for several years. Defining NATO's strategy is the Group's overarching mission.  A series of sessions in the run up to NATO's 60th Anniversary on both sides of the Atlantic will work to undertake that task. The first meeting was organized with the cooperation of the Stiftung Wissenschaft & Politik in Berlin. The next session of the Transatlantic Strategy Group will take place in the fall/ winter 2007.
